Pattern mix - 3 tips for a successful result

Hope you had a nice weekend and enjoyed the sun and spring heat. I thought we would start the week with tips on pattern mix in an interior, and how to succeed in not getting it plotty.

1 Pick up the colors in the pattern

If you have a pattern pick up some of the colors (suggestively two), the pattern does not stand alone and it feels well thought out.

2 Uniform color calms

When you have a pattern you always have to have a lone color that calms down. In this case a white sheet (not with pattern) but in a uniform fresh scale of the pattern. It can also be a puff in a suit, a pillow, a headboard. Everything cannot have patterns, and our eyes need something to rest our eyes on the pattern sea.

3 The size of the pattern matters

When you mix different patterns, size matters. In this case, the flower pattern, then it is possible to mix with a completely different pattern, kind of striped but if you want to mix with another flower pattern, then that pattern must be of a much smaller scale (or larger) than it is for it to be Good. Quite simply not too similar because then they compete with each other instead of lifting each other. And always with a common color scheme that holds the patterns together.
